“Why would you want to go there? They hate Muslims!”, were the words of someone – and many others – whenever I shared my travel plans. As if the idea of visiting foreign countries as a novice/female/Muslim traveller was not daunting enough without people trying to put me off. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to travel everywhere, keep an open mind and prove to myself and others that we’re wrong about the negative stereotypes we attach to parts of the world.
Over a decade ago, I started travelling; what better way to commemorate the start of my adventures than to share them with the world? I’ve made it my mission to see, feel and experience more of the world because nothing is more exciting than discovering hidden gems across the globe.
